An excellent opportunity for a candidate with 1 years’ experience to join our growing SIPP and SSAS administration team with in-house training.  The job covers:

  • General administration duties including following procedures and sending information to clients
  • Processing payments including fees, investments and pension/payroll payments
  • Processing pension contributions and pension transfers
  • Obtaining valuations and balances from investment providers for the provision of accounts and benefit calculations
  • Completion of HMRC returns
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Setting up new schemes (SIPP only)
  • Updating our records
  • Liaising with pension scheme members, their advisers and their accountants
  • Working accurately and efficiently as part of a friendly team handling a varied workload

Due to expansion in our pension administration team we are recruiting for a Senior SSAS Administrator.  Candidates with 3 years' + experience in SIPP or SSAS administration will be considered.  The candidate will be joining an extremely client orientated department and the role covers:


  • Following procedures and ensure that all aspects of work are carried out with due care and accuracy. Prioritise urgent / important work correctly.
  • Hold an up to date working knowledge of current regulatory requirements.
  • Updating our records accurately and ensuring that all chargeable time is logged
  • Respond to all emails and telephone calls in a timely manner. Letters, emails and telephone calls should be professional and accurate and details of telephone calls recorded.
  • Treat clients fairly and maintain the highest level of compliance
  • Arranging pension transfers (both cash and in-specie)
  • Completion of HMRC Pension Scheme returns as allocated
  • Deal with all aspects of property purchases and sales
  • Deal with all aspects of loan backs
  • Liaising with pension scheme members, their advisers and their accountants
  • Willingness to help as required within a friendly team handling a varied and demanding workload

  • Performing actuarial and pension related calculations, including review of income limits, policy reviews and transfer analysis, benefit projections
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Develop technical actuarial analytical skills and aim to qualify as a Certified Actuarial Analyst
  • Develop technical knowledge of the UK pensions framework, pension products, HMRC rules, regulation and legislation and keep up to date with changes
  • Drafting client letters and reports, attendance at client meetings when required 



  • Intelligent, numerate, excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, use of Excel and other Microsoft Office software
  • Commercial and economic awareness
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Manage work proactively, promptly and efficiently
  • Effective organisation and prioritisation of work, time management skills
