Senior SSAS Administrator

 

We will always welcome CV's directly from candidates that have experience in SSAS administration.  The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Following procedures and ensure that all aspects of work are carried out with due care and accuracy. Prioritise urgent / important work correctly.
  • Hold an up to date working knowledge of current regulatory requirements.
  • Updating our records accurately and ensuring that all chargeable time is logged
  • Respond to all emails and telephone calls in a timely manner. Letters, emails and telephone calls should be professional and accurate and details of telephone calls recorded.
  • Treat clients fairly and maintain the highest level of compliance
  • Arranging pension transfers (both cash and in-specie)
  • Completion of HMRC Pension Scheme returns as allocated
  • Deal with all aspects of property purchases and sales
  • Deal with all aspects of loan backs
  • Liaising with pension scheme members, their advisers and their accountants
  • Willingness to help as required within a friendly team handling a varied and demanding workload

 

Actuarial Analyst

An exciting opportunity to join our actuarial team

Role

  • Perform actuarial and technical calculations for SSASs and SIPPS, DB SSASs and group pension arrangements
  • Assist with actuarial calculations and advice to individuals, including pension aspects of divorce, assessment of interests under Trusts and pension consultancy
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Develop technical actuarial analytical skills
  • Support through professional exams, but also will suit someone with the core actuarial exams only.
  • Develop technical knowledge of the UK pensions framework, pension products, HMRC rules, regulation and legislation and keep up to date with changes
  • Assist consultants with any client opportunities, including drafting letters and reports and attendance at client meetings when required

 

Attributes

  • Intelligent, numerate, excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, use of Excel and other Microsoft Office software, programming experience desirable
  • Made some progress with the core actuarial exams or has equivalent exemptions
  • Commercial and economic awareness
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Manage work proactively, promptly and efficiently
  • Effective organisation and prioritisation of work, time management skills
  • Ensure files and filing kept up to date, system records are updated accurately and all client work recorded

 

Investment Administrator/Paraplanner

An exciting opportunity to work in a small and fast growing investment team.

Role includes:

  • Support and assistance for consultants for all financial planning work
  • Obtaining valuations and preparing new business reports
  • Processing new business and producing client packs
  • Carryout trade instructions
  • Assisting in the investment research for the firm and analysing fund data
  • Developing technical knowledge on pensions and investments and keeping up to date with changes
     

Required skills and experience

  • Recent and relevant experience in financial services
  • Essential organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
