Nigel Sloam

Nigel read Mathematics at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University. He was trained initially with a major actuarial consultancy, then worked as Actuary and Investment Manager of a large (half British owned) Israeli Insurance Company in Tel Aviv. His subsequent experience included working as an actuary for subsidiaries of a major merchant banking group and as Technical Director of a leading Investment, Pensions and Insurance Consultancy and in 1979 founded our firm.
He is a Chartered Mathematician. He is an Associate of the American Society of Actuaries, a full STEP practitioner (TEP) and one of very few actuaries who are members of The International Tax Planning Association.
Nigel is a leading expert on the utilisation of member directed pension schemes for entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, artists and sportsmen and is a past and founder Chairman of the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) Member Directed Penson Schemes Committee.
Nigel was Chair of International Association of Consulting Actuaries (IACA) from 2020 to 2022 and now is immediate past Chair. He has lectured widely in the UK and internationally at actuarial, accountancy and legal conferences and seminars.
He is involved in every area of the firm's work: actuarial, investment, trusteeship, product development, pension and divorce consultancy for both our British and overseas clients.
